An accomplished flutist and piccoloist, Mindi Acosta plays flute and piccolo with the Sierra Vista Symphony Orchestra and the Tucson Repertory Orchestra.

A dedicated chamber musician, Mindi is the flutist with Tucson Duo Project, Crowded Quartet, and LendAnEar Chamber Ensemble, among others. She has appeared as a featured soloist with the Sierra Vista Symphony Orchestra, Tucson Repertory Orchestra, and Catalina Chamber Orchestra. Her diverse experience includes operatic and theatrical performances with The University of Arizona Opera Theatre, Christian Youth Theatre, and Rogue Theatre, as well as international tours in Europe, Mexico, and Sedona.

A Fischoff and Coleman Chamber Music Competition finalist, she has performed at the National Flute Association and International Double Reed Society conferences. Passionate about new music, Mindi collaborates closely with composers and takes pride in premiering contemporary works.

A dedicated flute and piccolo teacher, Mindi is passionate about nurturing the next generation of musicians. She enjoys working with students of all ages and skill levels, guiding their technical and artistic growth with a supportive, individualized approach. In addition to private instruction, Mindi loves coaching youth chamber ensembles and sharing the joy of music through engaging children’s concerts that inspire curiosity and creativity.
